We believe that foster and adoptive families do well with information and so each year we schedule meetings and invite all of our licensed foster parents to join us to hear our founders Bill and Karen Lund, as well as other key leaders, speak about the state of our organization and trends in the State.
This year we talked a lot about Treatment Foster Care and our need for Professional Foster Parents. Treatment Foster Care is a new way of managing foster care for children who are hard to place in foster homes. It is designed to be time a limited, intensive service utilizing evidence-based interventions like Wraparound, Nurturing Parenting, and Skill Streaming and Aggression Replacement Techniques.
We also updated families on the rapid growth of our Behavioral Health program and the impact that it has had in stabilizing placements and improving outcomes for children and families.
